CONTRIBUTION OF SUPPORT GROUPS IN FORTIFING PRIMARY HEALTH CARE

Abstract

The study purpose was to describe the functioning of support groups of one Basic Health Unit Porto Alegre – Rio Grande do Sul, as well as, the contribution of the same ones in fortifing Primary Health Care. The participant comment methodology was used in the study. It was observed the functioning of support groups: Tobaccoism, Pain in the Coasts, Pregnant Women. Aspects of these groups, the duration and the frequency of the meeting, beyond the place where they were realized, these had been some observed parameters. The support groups contribute in fortifing Primary Health Care.
