Mental health matriciation in Primary Health Care: an integrative review

Introduction: Mental Health care must be part of the list of actions to be implemented by Primary Health Care in order to guarantee the assumption of comprehensiveness. Matrix support allows connection with specialized teams, proposing the integration of different knowledge and practices to achieve comprehensive care. Objective: This study aims to point out how mental health matrix support has been implemented in the Brazilian reality. Methodology: This is an integrative review of the literature, based on a research question elaborated based on the PICo strategy (Population: mental health users; Interest: Matrix Support; Context: Primary Health Care): “How Matrix Support in Mental Health has been carried out in Brazilian reality?” The search was carried out in November 2023, in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and in the databases: Web of Science, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval Sistem Online (MEDLINE/Pubmed) and SCOPUS. Primary studies related to the topic, available in full, published between 2018-2023, were included. After this, 13 articles were selected. The majority of articles were published in 2021. Conclusion: The main actions in mental health involve meetings, direct communication between teams, explanation of the difficulties faced, sharing of knowledge and knowledge from multiple realities.
