Analysis of clinical factors and quality of life of people with hypertension and diabetes: a cross-sectional study

The objective was to analyze the quality of life of people with hypertension and / or diabetes monitored by Primary Health Care in three municipalities in Ceará. Cross-sectional study conducted with 384 people with hypertension and / or diabetes. In data collection, clinical data were collected and the SF-36 questionnaire was applied. Descriptive and inferential analysis was performed using RStudio Software. The level of statistical significance was set at 5% (p <0.05). There was a predominance of females aged 60 years or over. There was a significant difference between systolic blood pressure (p <0.005) and postprandial blood glucose (p <0.001) by diagnostic group. In terms of quality of life, the social aspects and mental health domains obtained higher scores, 87.5 and 72, respectively, and limitation by physical and emotional aspects, with children, 25 and 33.3, respectively. People with diagnoses in association have a statistically significant impairment in the domains of physical capacity (p <0.01), and limitations due to physical (p <0.01) and emotional aspects (p <0.001). It was concluded that the clinical aspects interfere with the quality of life, especially in the group associated hypertension and / or diabetes.
