DA SAÚDE PÚBLICA À ANTROPOLOGIA: (re)ligando os conhecimentos em torno das desigualdades sociais e de saúde

Abstract

The text attempts to develop a theoretical-methodological reflection about the relations between social and health inequalities. In the epistemological space of the areas of knowledge contemplated in this reflection (epidemiology and anthropology), the text analyzes social facts based on the relations between the material and the immaterial, and the individual and the collective. Within this perspective, historical elements of the relationship between social inequalities and health heterogeneities are sought, which are quite current elements in developing countries. The text emphasizes the necessity of deepening the discussion on social inequalities and its relations, identifying diversities of health situations from the concepts of living and vulnerability situations.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
