Abstract

Work with groups in primary health care is an alternative for health practice. These spaces allow continuous improvement of all subjects involved, not only for the personal aspects but also for the professional ones, by acknowledging skills and the possibility of influencing creatively the illness-health process of each human being. This paper aims to support the Family Health Strategy multiprofessional teams, users of Tele-Health Project – Rio Grande do Sul. This protocol was created based on referential of Torres et al. (2003) operative group, the group concept of Osório (2000) and the premises of working group defined by Campos (2000) on the Wheel Method. These elements allowed the construction of a proposal for planning, dynamics and evaluation phases of groups on the assistance area. The low number of publications with evidence relating to the work group, denotes the need for this construct on the different dynamics that can be addressed in different realities or by several health professionals in Primary Health Care. Key words: health education, self-help groups, primary health care.
