The prevention work and health promotion to renal patients assisted by the interdisciplinary team: Challenges and constructions

The chronic renal disease (CRD) is shown in the present-days as a public-health problem, for it is reaching epidemic proportions. To hold back the progression of the CRD is what has been searched, putting off the beginning of the replaceable renal treatment. This qualitative study aimed to evaluate the work of an interdisciplinary team in the Interdisciplinary Nucleus for Studies and research in Nephrology (INSRN) of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (FUJF), to assist renal patients under conservative treatment in the Prevention Working-Group for Renal Diseases Program (PREVENRIM). The search was to investigate the ocurrence of prevention work and health promotion, clinical adhesion and improvement in the patient´s quality of life. The performed sample was a technical team and the Health Unique Center System (HUCS).The data was raised from half-structured interviews and evaluated under the Analyses of Discourse. Technique and the results showed that the team practices the interdisciplinary approaching, working on prevention and health promotion, so that, the adherence to the treatment was suggested and therefore the improvement in the patient´s quality of lifeDownloads
