Resumo

Apresenta-se a tradução do texto anônimo Vida de Ésquilo, que se encontra nos manuscritos medievais que nos transmitiram a obra restante de Ésquilo. Fruto da colagem de diversas fontes como Aristófanes e as próprias tragédias de Ésquilo, Vida de Ésquilo contribui tanto para reforçar alguns estereótipos da dramaturgia de Ésquilo, quanto para fornecer informações sobre o dramaturgo e seus contextos histórico e cênico.

Marcus Mota, Universidade de Brasília (UnB)

Mestre em Teoria da Literatura (1992) e doutor em História (2002) pela Universidade de Brasília (UnB). Atualmente é Professor Associado da UnB.
