2nd CALL NOTICE TO International and Comparative Constitutional Law Journal

 

The Revista de Direito Constitucional Internacional e Comparado (International and Comparative Constitucional Law Journal) is open to the submission of articles for evaluation and eventual publication in its next edition.

Art. 1º - Articles that aim to be published in the 2nd edition must be sent by the deadline of October 15th, 2017.

§ 1º - The edition will contain the following sections: (i) A section dedicated to specific book reviews, interviews and study of national and international court decisions; (ii) a thematic section.

§ 2º - This edition encourages the submission of articles to the thematic section on the inter-american human rights system.

Art. 2º - Articles that aim to be published in the 3rd edition should be sent by the deadline of January 1st, 2017.

§ 1º -  The edition will contain the following sections: (i) a section dedicated to specific book reviews, interviews and study of national and international court decisions; (Ii) a thematic section.

§ 2º - This edition encourages articles to be sent to the thematic section on the 30 years of the Constitution of the Federative Republic of Brazil of 1988.

Art. 3º - The first section dedicated to reviews, interviews and case studies will be free choice of the editor-in-chief and will not go through the blind evaluation by parts, not punctuating for webqualis purposes.

Art. 4º - The articles can be sent in Portuguese, English or Spanish.

INTRODUCTION

The main purpose of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas - ABNT) is to standardize the publication of academic papers in general.

 

 

PRE-TEXTUAL ELEMENTS

  • Cover: a) SHOULD NOT CONTAIN the author's name (the identification will be done by the OJS, in order to maintain the blind peer review); b) title and subtitle (if you have the latter).
  • Abstract / resumen / resumé: objective content, maximum of 500 words. It should also contain the keywords (most representative words in the text content).
  • Summary: it is the enumeration of the sections and divisions of the text in the sequence in which they appear, that is, it is the transcription of the structure to be developed throughout the text.

PRESENTATION

  • Format: A4 sheet (21.0 cm X 29.7 cm), with the text to be typed on the front of the sheet.
  • Source: Times New Roman:

a)    size 12 for the text;

b)    size 11 for citations with more than three lines, footnotes and legends of illustrations;

c)    size 12 in uppercase and bold for TITLES;

d)    size 12 in lowercase and bold for Subtitles.

  • Margins: the left margin and the top margin 3 cm; The right and inferior margin 2 cm.
  • Indentation: the first line of the paragraph should be 1.5 cm from the left margin. The citations with more than three lines must have the indentation of 4 cm of the left margin. In this case, without quotation marks, it is space between lines should be 1 cm and font size should be 11.
  • Alignment: The text should be "justified." For titles and sections the option "Align left" is used. The Abstract, List, Summary and References should be the "centralize” at the page.
  • Spacing: The space between lines should be 1.5 cm in the text and the sections and subtitle headings should be separated from the text also by spaces of 1.5 cm. The long quotations, the footnotes and references space between lines should be write with 1 cm space.
  • Pagination: the numbers are placed from the introduction, in Arabic numerals and aligned to 2 cm of the right margin and the upper margin.

 

 

 

  • Footnotes: footnote references can be abbreviated as follows:

ú  Apud - cited by, according to;

ú  Op. cit., Opus citatum, opere citato - quoted work;

ú  Cf. - confront;

ú  Idem or id - same author;

ú  Ibidem or ibid - in the same work;

ú  passim - here and there (when the words were removed from intervals);

ú  loc. cit., loco citato - in the cited place;

ú  et seq., sequentia - following.

 

 

POST-TEXTUAL ELEMENTS

  • All references throughout the text must be made in the footnote standard. The International and Comparative Constitutional Law Journal does not adopt the AUTHOR-DATE model, also known as Chicago model.
  • References: at the end of the paper, it shoud be the presentation of the consulted material and from where the quoted information was extracted. We have as an example:

 1.k) Articles within journals: The simple citation template (similar to one or more authors) is used by adding the expression "In:" to indicate that the first cited work is contained in the second.
